Gillien Todd

Gillien Todd is a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, where she teaches the Negotiation Workshop for first-year students, the Program on Negotiation’s public Negotiation Seminar, and continuing education courses for lawyers and executives. In her consulting practice, she works with a range of organizations, from large companies to small non-profits as a consultant, trainer, and facilitator.

She has taught negotiation and communication workshops for software, pharmaceutical, accounting, and retail executives across the U.S. In addition, she has taught workshops for attorneys in a variety of practice areas - corporate, intellectual property, litigation, and family law - in the US and Europe. As a consultant and facilitator, she has mediated contract negotiations for the Princeton, NJ public schools; facilitated problem-solving among 30 state-based gun control organizations; and led a long-term collaboration - between Boston-area prosecutors, police, nurses and advocates - aimed at improving services for victims of sexual assault. She has also assisted several local and national non-profit groups with strategic planning and inter-organizational conflict. At The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, she has worked with cadets on leadership and conflict resolution skills as part of that institution’s historic transition to co-education.

She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her B.A. from Yale University.
